Happy New Year! We made it or should I say tip-toed into the new year 😅 The past couple of years have caused many of us to move with caution, to slowly peek around the corner as life as we know it continues to change. We all have a new "normal" and our days before 2020 seem like a distant and envious memory.
But it's okay! It's time for us to stop looking back at what changed and embrace the new things that God is doing in each of our lives. May we bow our heads humbly in prayer as we remember those who left us...and the ones who continue to leave...because such is life, unfortunately. However, there is good news, those who die in the Lord Jesus Christ shall live again!
If you've never received Him as your Lord and Savior, allow me to introduce you to King Jesus. He is the lamb of God who was slain for our sins, He came to earth with a deep love for all humanity to reconnect us to God. Our sin has separated us from fellowship with The Heavenly Father, but God did not leave it that way, for He sent His only begotten Son to restore what was lost. And this is the new thing God wants to do for you today, this year, and beyond!
Let us pray for a new beginning today:
"God,
I'm looking forward to the start of a new year, and I'm ready to take it head-on. However, if I'm being honest, I'm not sure what the future has in store for me—and that can make me anxious. I am a sinner and I want to restore our relationship so that I can be bold and confident in this new beginning.
Father, I am praying a humble prayer of forgiveness for my sins. Search me, Lord, and refill my heart. I am ready to surrender my expectations for this year. As I approach You, transform my thoughts. Align my heart with Yours. Search me, God, and repair my heart.
Whatever this year has in store, I am certain that You have me. Nothing is out of
Your reach! God, restore me and make me new.

Amen."
